Continuing the conversation: #WhatComesNextTC

In case you missed last month’s community dialogue, we have archived the panelists’ remarks as individual videos and as a video of the full panel from The Eric Garner Verdict: Analysis, Implications, and What Comes Next. (see links and clips below)

blacklives alllives cafeWe are also continuing the conversation in a variety of ways, starting with occasional CPP Cafes. Our first cafe conversation was held on January 22nd and people came together to share their thoughts in response to a broad framing prompt involving two popular hashtags that have emerged following the verdicts in Ferguson and Staten Island: #blacklivesmatter and #alllivesmatter.

It is our hope that these cafes serve as spaces for people to convene to talk, to listen, to question, to inspire and be inspired, and to act. Our next CPP Cafe is set for Wednesday, February 18th, 11:30-1:00. Follow us on Twitter, sign up to be on our listserv, or check back here for location details. We provide the coffee (and tea), you bring your engagement.

We are also starting a #Making workshop series, an opportunity to continue the #WhatComesNextTC conversation in another way that will involve creating artifacts in response to various prompts. We’re thinking about mixed media, digital media, and other modes of exploration and expression — please feel free to make suggestions! We’ll share more about this series in advance of the first workshop, currently scheduled for early March.

In the meantime, we hope you’ll find these archived videos useful and inspiring, and please feel free to share widely.
